HAWKESBURY — A panel of engineers, lawyers and environmental activists made an impassioned plea to Hawkesbury’s council and Ontario’s Ministry of Natural Resources on March 25, urging them to reconsider their plan for a partial cleanup of the CIP lagoon.
VANKLEEK HILL–Construction of the new Vankleek Hill Collegaite Institute is supposed to begin in April, but the Upper Canada District School Board says it is waiting for Ministry of Education approval.
PLEASANT CORNERS – Champlain Township recently held a seminar for business owners called, “Surviving in business in challenging economic times”. The seminar took place at Champlain Township’s council chambers on Pleasant Corner Road and included a presentation by Lynn Groulx, an economic development officer with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
